About us

Workability Psychology is a psychology practice supporting people recovering from workplace injuries, psychological trauma, and other work-related mental health conditions.

We provide evidence-based psychological treatment that focuses not only on symptom reduction, but on restoring confidence, improving daily functioning, and helping clients reconnect with meaningful work and life.

We bridge the gap between injury and recovery.

We believe meaningful work is an important part of recovery. Through evidence-based therapy and close collaboration, we help people rebuild confidence and move towards a sustainable return to work.

Workcover Psychology Specialists

Workability Psychology provides evidence-based psychological services for individuals recovering from workplace injury and returning to meaningful work. We support people experiencing workplace stress, psychological injury and other mental health challenges through personalised, collaborative care.

Our services are delivered by Registered Psychologist James Pham, whose background in rehabilitation consulting provides a strong understanding of the workers compensation system. James draws on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Trauma-Informed ACT to support presentations including anxiety, depression, adjustment disorders, PTSD, workplace bullying, occupational trauma and chronic pain.

We work closely with clients, general practitioners, employers, rehabilitation consultants and insurers to ensure treatment is coordinated and recovery goals remain aligned. By combining evidence-based therapy with clear communication, we help bridge the gap between injury and meaningful recovery.

Our commitment

We are dedicated to bridging the between injury and meaningful work by:

Building confidence, not dependence.

Collaborative communication across the treating team.

Treating the person, not just the diagnosis.

Keeping recovery purposeful and work-focused.

Empowering lasting skills for life beyond therapy.
